Dominik Hehl studied Product Design at the University of Applied Science in Potsdam and the écal in Lausanne.
After graduation in 2007 he designed a serie of furnitures for familiy spaces and child care. In 2008 Dominik Hehl assisted An Te Liu in the creation of "The Cloud" insatallation for the Architecture Bienale in Venice. → anteliu.com
Before setting up his own studio in 2010 Dominik Hehl joined the Jerszy Seymour Design Workshop → jerszyseymour.com working on product development for Magis (Flux Chair), Vitra, Moulinex and the realisation of installations like: "Beeing There" Villa Noailles Design Parade, "The Coalition of Amateurs" MUDAM Luxembourg, "Salon des Amateurs" Marta Herford 2009 and the "Open Source Amateur Diagram" at experimenta lisboa 2009.
Since his Diplom he is changing ideas and collaborating with Ulrike Kegler, schoolmaster of the Montessori Oberschule Potsdam, exploring the "prepared environment" in todays education.
Dominik Hehl is also part of the transalpino project group realizing projects and exhibitions in Berlin and Milano since 2007. → transalpino.de
Besides his professional work as a Product Designer he realized the filmlet Tacken (shown at achtung berlin Filmfestival 2010) as co-director and actor and the Video Installation "Zeitraub" for the noisy chronic exhibition at HBC Berlin 2010.
